interview

where do you find inspiration for your work?

most everything that surrounds me—-nature, my garden, my dogs, walks around the neighborhood, just seeing stuff that makes me think of comparable situations/scenarios that take the form of metaphors that then are transferable to myriad contexts and applications.

what is your design process like?

it is very organic and sprawling at the beginning, but slowly becomes more solid and refined as the ideas develop. both concept and form feed off of eachother; one may take the lead at different times, but they support eachother throughout.

what is your favorite animal?

french bulldog

what design lesson has stuck with you most?

make good work, be patient, and it’s not brain surgery. make a life that includes my practice among its passions.
